Nutrition analysis
DISABLED - do not use. Multi-service comparison and specialist routing context is now handled automatically by scripts/process_nutrition_intake.py via the nutrition-intake skill hard gate.
Prepare nutrition-specialist-ready routing context after intake persistence is complete.
Keep this skill focused on specialist handoff design, evidence hierarchy, uncertainty handling, and multi-service comparison preparation. Do not use it as the source of truth for media copy, canonical file creation, or athlete-facing reply wording.
Workflow overview
- Start from an already persisted nutrition intake item.
- Build the routing context needed by the nutrition specialist.
- Standardize evidence strength, uncertainty, meal role, and session relevance.
- Run the configured multi-service comparison path, using the shared nutrition analysis prompt for the local and Claude paths.
- Hand the case forward for nutrition interpretation and any later Coach Luca synthesis.
Read these references when needed
- Read
references/specialist-handoff.mdfor handoff-building logic, evidence hierarchy, and uncertainty rules. - Read
references/data-contract.mdfor the required and optional fields that should exist in the specialist-ready routing context. - Read
references/multi-service-comparison.mdwhen the case should capture side-by-side local and Claude results plus an aggregate estimate.
Core rules
- Use this skill only after intake persistence is complete or when auditing the handoff model itself.
- Build the strongest available context from athlete text, label evidence, recurring-food matches, photo evidence, session timing, and day context.
- Use the shared prompt at
team/nutrition/nutrition-analysis-prompt.mdfor the local analysis path and the Claude CLI path. - Run
scripts/process_nutrition_intake.pyfor every live nutrition intake item without exception. This is a hard gate, not a default. Do not skip it for simple items, text-only items, or items without photos. - Do not let the comparison layer replace nutrition-agent review.
- If compatibility with gluten or dairy cannot be supported by evidence, mark it
uncertain. - Keep the handoff concise but sufficient for specialist analysis.
Boundaries
This skill owns:
- specialist-ready routing context
- evidence hierarchy for nutrition analysis preparation
- uncertainty handling for unverified ingredients or compatibility
- meal-role and session-relevance framing
- multi-service comparison preparation and normalization guidance
- handoff payload definition
This skill does not own:
- media copy or persistence mechanics
- canonical daily-log nutrition writes, which belong to
nutrition-intake - athlete-facing nutrition wording
- final cross-domain coaching synthesis
