2026-04-21 athlete comms test plan

Goal

Validate that athlete-comms can act as a dry-run language-review gate before any athlete-facing send.

Test approach

1. Use the fixtures in shared/comms/athlete-comms-test-fixtures.md.
2. Run each fixture through athlete-comms in dry-run mode.
3. Capture result, reasons, and any rewrite.
4. Confirm send_allowed is always false in dry-run.
5. Review whether the outcome matches expectation.

Success condition

The role should:

• approve clean messages
• rewrite weak but usable messages
• block internal chatter, operator leakage, and non-final drafts

Limitation

This validates review behavior only. It does not prove that every real athlete send path is forced through athlete-comms.

Next step after dry-run validation

Patch each real athlete-facing workflow to call athlete-comms explicitly before any delivery step, then repeat the same dry-run review on live candidate messages in shadow mode.
