Summary
- Morning plan saved for an unconfirmed pre-ride day; a later athlete self-check-in was informational only and did not change the plan.
- The day stays at the written pre-ride load: course skills plus openers, with no added volume.
Activities
- Planned workout: Course pre-ride with skills and openers, bike, cx, 1:10-1:20, TrainingPeaks ID 3968330132.
- Standalone nutrition plan: none found at

Current time: Friday, October 16th, 2026 - 12:59 PM (America/Edmonton)
Reference UTC: 2026-10-16 18:59 UTC
Interpretation
No athlete-status change or coaching action is requested. This reads as a workflow reminder rather than readiness, recovery, nutrition, or logistics input, so it does not change today's plan.
Morning plan composition
- Composition time: 06:30 America/Edmonton, athlete-local working time 08:30 America/New_York.
- Day type: Standard training day, race-week pre-ride.
- Readiness state: Unconfirmed.
Specialist participation
Recovery, nutrition, and endurance were explicitly assessed before drafting. Recovery is materially relevant because there is no same-morning readiness report and yesterday's travel plus opener response are still unconfirmed. Nutrition is materially relevant because no standalone Oct 16 nutrition plan exists and the note needs direct pre-ride and post-ride fuelling guidance. Endurance is materially relevant because the course-pre-ride prescription needs clear volume caps and opener execution. Strength was explicitly assessed and not consulted because today's written plan contains no gym or off-bike loading decision.
Readiness
Sleep, perceived freshness, illness and immune status, travel disruption, non-training stress, Hashimoto's watch items, previous-day session outcome, and nutrition or hydration concerns were checked against the visible record and the readiness protocol. No same-morning athlete readiness message is visible in the current task context or canonical log record. No current-day recovery or nutrition note exists yet. Yesterday was a long travel day into Mason, and the leg-opener response is still unconfirmed in the durable record. No direct illness, injury, or Hashimoto's flare signal is visible, but missing evidence is not evidence of readiness. Under the protocol, today remains Unconfirmed, so the pre-ride stays specific and conservative rather than drifting into extra volume.
Evidence
- Required read order completed before drafting.
- Athlete identity and routing context were confirmed from
athlete/PROFILE.md,athlete/comms-profile.md, andathlete/delivery-config.md: Sidney McGill, preferred Sidney, username sidney. - Inbound athlete-message review found no overnight or same-morning training, recovery, illness, question, or location update that changes today's plan in the visible canonical record or current task context.
- Recovery and nutrition review used the most recent canonical daily log,
athlete/logs/daily/2026-10-15.md; both sections are coordinator-consolidated and now stale rather than fresh same-day specialist notes. athlete/rolling-7-day.mdandathlete/rolling-3-week.mdwere read as required but remain stale June planning context, so they were treated as background constraints rather than live planning authority.- The skill-named path
athlete/travel-schedule.mddoes not exist in this workspace; the active travel source isathlete/context/travel-schedule.md, and its current October rows place Sidney in Mason, OH for the Kings weekend. - The most recent visible canonical evening summary remains
athlete/logs/daily/2026-06-03.md; it was read as required, but it is materially stale and only lightly useful for current carry-forward context. - No standalone nutrition plan exists at
athlete/logs/daily-nutrition/2026-10-16.md. - After the required reads,
athlete/calendar/2026-10-16.mdwas used as the live source for today's course pre-ride prescription. - Open-Meteo for Mason, OH at 08:30 America/New_York reports 17.3°C with overcast current conditions, and the day forecast is 23.3°C / 9.0°C with moderate drizzle as the dominant label, 29 percent precipitation probability, and max wind about 28.1 km/h.
Decisions
- Keep readiness at Unconfirmed.
- Do not add load beyond the written Oct 16 calendar plan.
- Keep the total on-bike time under 1:20 and keep the course work specific rather than accumulating extra fatigue.
- Keep the 3 x 1 min openers and 3 starts, but do not add extra laps if the legs stay dull or the course sections are already learned.
- Include direct fuelling guidance because no standalone nutrition plan exists for today.
- Use Mason, OH for the weather block and keep the outdoor guidance conservative around greasy sections and wind exposure.
Endurance
Coordinator-consolidated status
Friday is about learning the course and opening the legs, not building fitness. The main win is clean skill reps, three proper 1 min openers, and three starts, all inside the written volume cap.
Recovery
Coordinator-consolidated status
Fresh same-day recovery input is unavailable. The main watch items are residual travel stiffness, legs that do not open in the warm-up, unusual heaviness, and any back or SI irritation on course. With yesterday's travel and opener response still unconfirmed, readiness stays capped at Unconfirmed.
Strength
Coordinator-consolidated status
No same-day gym or off-bike loading is prescribed. Keep all non-riding work minimal and skip any extra mobility or activation beyond what is needed to feel normal for the pre-ride.
Nutrition
Coordinator-consolidated status
No standalone Oct 16 nutrition plan is present. The pre-ride still needs structure: normal breakfast, top-up carbs if the start is delayed, 40-60 g/hr on the bike with electrolytes, then an early carbohydrate-plus-protein recovery meal. Keep dinner familiar, GF/DF, carbohydrate-rich, and low fibre.

Morning plan
Today's Plan
**Readiness:** Unconfirmed, there is no morning check-in, no fresh specialist update, and yesterday's travel plus opener response are still unconfirmed, so keep today conservative.
**Today’s plan:** Course pre-ride with skills and openers, 1:10-1:20 total. Start with 15 min easy, then 30 min on course: first lap easy to learn it, then key sections at race speed. Include 3 x 1 min at 260-286 W with 3 min easy between, then 3 starts of 15 sec maximal from clipped in with 3 min easy between, and finish with 10 min easy. Keep the total under 1:20. If yesterday's opener did not happen, add 10 min to the warm-up and still cap the total. Once a section is clean, move on. If the legs stay dull after the warm-up, keep the skills work but do not add extra laps or intensity.
**Fuelling:** Eat a normal breakfast. If the ride starts more than 2 hours after breakfast, add 20-30 g easy carbohydrate 30-45 min before you roll. Take 40-60 g/hr on the bike and include electrolytes in your bottles. After the ride, get a familiar carbohydrate-plus-protein meal in early, then keep dinner familiar, GF/DF, carbohydrate-rich, and low fibre.
**Weather:**
Mason, OH 🌦️
23°C / 9°C, light drizzle
Mild later in the day, breezy, and only a modest shower risk, so the course should keep drying but exposed sections may stay greasy and wind-exposed.
Use tyre pressure and line choices for Saturday, not for today's worst patches, and recheck pressures on Sunday morning.
**Monitor:**
Heavy legs that still do not open after the warm-up, any back or SI irritation on course, or any section that gets sloppy once the pace rises. If that shows up, cut laps, keep the work clean, and get off the course before it turns into fatigue.

Open items
- Need a fresh athlete check-in or completed-session evidence to confirm how Thursday's travel and opener landed before Saturday's race decision.
